'Happiness'
is a state of mind. It is the condition of being content. It is a state of well-being characterised by emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy. Different people have their own ideas of happiness. For some, it means abundance of love; while for others, it means lots of money. For a poor, hungry man, getting two square meals is the biggest happiness.

Work holds the key to happiness; doing something which increases our confidence and self-worth. Family and friends are a great source of happiness. Someone has rightly said, "True happiness arises from the enjoyment of oneself and the friendship and fellowship of companions and kin." Happiness includes flexibility rooted in love, understanding and a real desire to overcome the odds. Happiness is not the absence of problems but the ability to deal with them.
Everybody wants to be happy in life but happiness is not a fruit waiting to be plucked off a tree, nor is it stealed and wrapped, available for a price in the market. Happiness can be achieved by working for it. The pursuit of happiness lasts a lifetime and we must be prepared to consistently built on whatever we have. It is earned by diligent, constant effort.

Happiness is not in things; it is in us. We must build our relationships brick by brick to lay a secure foundation for the road to happiness. One should do one's duty sincerely, happiness will come as a by-product. We must spread happiness around us and this will multiply our own happiness. The constantly moving life-cycle ensures that every sadness is followed by some happiness and vice-versa.
